Why host a Catch and Throw Camp?

Sample Three Day Catching Camp:
· Day 1: Lecture and videos on PowerPoint 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
· Day
2: Short Lecture, Functional Strength Training, and explanation of Receiving and Blocking Drills 9:00 am - 12:00 pm 14
& under 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm 15 & over
· Day 3: Short Lecture, Functional Strength Training, Receiving, Blocking, and Throwing Drills with Wrap Up 8:00 am – 11:00 pm 14 & under
12:00 pm – 3:00 pm 15 & over
Changes in the timetable may be made depending upon travel arrangements. Any additions
or revisions to the timetable must be requested and approved in writing by the Catch and Throw and the speaker.
Lectures will
cover recovery and hydration, pitcher catcher interface, and game calling.
Functional Strength Training will cover arm care, body
work, and catcher specific training and warm ups or any other specific topic agreed upon by Catch and Throw and the camp host.
The Camp
Host needs to provide:
· Venue to conduct camp
· Lecture Space for Day 1 PowerPoint Lecture
· Baseballs
· Adequate Restrooms and Water for participants
· Catch and Throw travel expenses (may
come out of camp revenue)
· Signed Contract
Participants are required to
sign waivers and bring their own gloves and equipment
